Childhood friends.
The Hampstead Bakery (formerly ‘The Ginger Lilies’) comprises of childhood friends Lisa Marks and Rachel Englender, based in North West London. As long time semi-professional cooks, we finally decided it was time to harness our shared love of cooking and baking and hopefully give others a chance to experience our passion for producing indulgent edible gifts.
Busy, busy, busy!
Having built a reputation for cooking both for friends over the past 20 years and catering local events and celebrations, it seemed that the biggest queues were always for the cake and dessert table. In 2014 after a few requests for us to recreate some of our most popular desserts and cakes, and receiving many requests for Christmas gifts, we thought of creating our own Christmas Hamper selection.
To our delight this became hugely popular and we were being called by people from all around London and beyond. Companies were calling requesting gifts for their clients and staff and before we knew it we were delivering 20-25 hampers a day in the run up to Christmas! Our hampers have remained popular throughout the year, and are bespoke and made to meet each client’s specific requirements.
Something about cake?
We feel a lot can be said with cake; whether celebrating a promotion, winning new clients, the birth of a new baby, Christmas, Valentine's Day, anniversaries, the list goes on… There is always a good excuse to eat cake!

Today…
In late 2020 we grew tired of the Ginger Lilies name and decided it was time for a bit of a facelift... So here we are with our official rebrand as The Hampstead Bakery! The same exquisite food gifts, still made with just as much love - just under a new name.
